The property is within driving distance of Castleton Caverns, Buxton (approx 7 miles), Derwent Water, Carsington Water, Jodrell Bank, Matlock, Tissington Trail, Derbyshire Dales, Bakewell and Kinder Scout which makes the property perfectly situated for a rural retreat but within a comfortable distance of many attractions, local shops and walking areas.
The nearby village of Whaley Bridge caters for most shopping needs with local butchers, supermarkets, chemist, hairdresers, cafes and take away's
This property offers 2 double and 1 twin bedroom, a spacious bathroom with separate shower cubical, additional upstairs toilet and basin, lounge with open fire, large kitchen/diner, private fenced out garden and picnic bench.
Pets welcome (£10 per pet per visit) by arrangement with owner. The owners property is across the yard from the cottage and other pets may be in the yard .
A £100 security deposit may be requested by the owners. |

Cheshire is a surprisingly rural county, ideal for an escape to the countryside, as you’ll discover on a break in one of our holiday cottages in Cheshire. There’s plenty of good walking in the Delamere Forest and across the Cheshire plain. The historic city of Chester also makes a great day out. It was founded by the Romans who were the original architects of the city walls that still surround the cathedral on two sides. Don’t miss the Roman Amphitheatre nor the ornate Chester Rows, an unusual series of buildings with shops on two levels – perhaps the first shopping mall in England!
Our holiday cottages in Cheshire are also within easy reach of the golden triangle, the affluent area around Alderley Edge, Knutsford, Wlmslow and Prestbury. A favourite with footballers, there are some excellent restaurants in the vicinity. For something completely different, visit Quarry Bank Mill in Styal, an old cotton mill, now transformed into a living museum of the old cotton industry. Meanwhile, railway enthusiasts will enjoy a visit to Crewe, once the centre of the British Railway industry. And don’t forget, you’re also an easy drive from Liverpool, European Capital of Culture for 2008.
